Spitfire Event at Sywell Aerodrome

In June, Fraser Deeprose hosted an evening at Sywell Aerodrome Group Ltd with clients. Lee Kingman, who works at the Aerodrome gave a talk about the fascinating history of the Spitfire and guests had the opportunity to see the aircraft up close and personal. Lee is hugely knowledgeable in this area and all agreed that his enthusiasm for the subject, a fantastic setting and the opportunity for a social gathering in the glorious summer evening made it an unforgettable event.

Sheppey United FC

We were thrilled to embark on sponsorship of Sheppey United FC in 2024.  Nicola, our Practice Manager, is a diehard fan and attends every match so we jumped at the chance to support a club that’s local to our Kent office. And through our sponsorship, we have got to know the mascot!

Sport is a vital aspect towards improving and building our wellbeing and so we wanted to do something that supports such an important part of many people’s lives. The club is an important part of the local community, bringing together people from across the region and building a great place for families to gather.

Nizels Duck Houses

We are quackers about the new duck houses we sponsored at Nizels Golf and Country Club!

Our Kent based financial advisor, David Cox, is a member and regular golfer at the club and can be spotted in the photo below with Club Pro David Hobbs, PGA Golf and Men’s Club Captain Roy Meyer.

Ducks are not just delightful to watch; they also play an important role in our ecosystems.

Urbanisation and habitat loss have limited their natural nesting sites so these duck houses will provide much needed shelter and due to the fact that they are floating duck houses – will provide a safe haven from predators.

Champion of Champions

We are the headline sponsor of a golf series, called The Wealth and Finance Matters Series, which is being held at Farnham Park Golf Club.  The Series is being held over the summer of 2024 culminating in a Finals Day on August Bank Holiday.

Client feedback survey

We recently collaborated with our clients on a feedback survey and to thank our respondents, asked for suggestions about charities local to them that we could support.

We were delighted to hear that many of our clients are involved in local charities and causes and were keen to share this with us.  In return, we were happy to support the following charities as a way of showing our appreciation for our clients for their time.

Home Start

Home-Start is a local community network of trained volunteers and expert support helping families with young children through challenging times.

The Malcolm Whales Foundation

The Malcolm Whales Foundation is a fundraising cancer charity set up by Malcolm’s son Damien, in his memory.   Its aim is ‘to help people affected by cancer and illness’.  The charity organises numerous fundraising events including sports marathons, golf days, various sports tournaments and an annual July 40 mile sponsored walk in Dorset.

All the money raised goes to a number of different causes and cancer charities to support those affected in a variety of different ways.

The Heather Club

We were delighted to support The Heather Club by providing a luxury Fortnum & Mason Hamper to a fundraising raffle.  The charity runs a day centre in Hemel Hempstead offering cognitive stimulation, sociability and enjoyment to people living with memory loss and early stage dementia along with vital respite for their carers.  As a small charity, reliant on the support of local companies, it was a pleasure to support them.

Dunelm ‘Deliver Joy’

In 2023, instead of our usual office Secret Santa, each of the Wealth and Finance Matters team purchased a gift to donate as part of our local Dunelm store campaign 'Deliver Joy'.

The campaign is all about delivering joy to people in our local community who might otherwise go without. We were delighted that these presents were delivered to local schools, care homes and refuges, helping to bring some extra festive cheer at Christmas at a time where difficult circumstances mean that some families cannot enjoy the Festive season.

Our Operations Director Suzanne Grant collected and delivered the gifts in time for Christmas.
