David is based in Kent, serving clients in both Essex and Kent. He started his career as a Sales Executive and one day got chatting to a customer who told him about the St. James's Place Financial Adviser Academy. David signed up the following month and after qualifying began his career as a Financial Adviser in 2019.

What’s the most rewarding part of your role?
I get a buzz out of helping people to make money and to better their financial situation. Often helping people to find solutions to areas they hadn’t yet considered.
What difference do you make to your clients?
I pride myself on my down to earth approach, making the complicated simple and enjoy providing clarity to my clients along with ensuring their businesses are as tax efficient as possible.
What’s your biggest achievement?
That I was mortgage free by the time I was 37 years old.
What would you say to someone who said financial advice wasn’t right for them?
Retirement Planning can be really dull, however people often have wonderful aspirations for what they’d like to do in retirement. By reaching out to a Financial Adviser, you can start making those dreams become a reality.
What are your hobbies?
I enjoy travelling and have a passion for property development including building and renovating houses. I love being outdoors and have three gorgeous rescue cats that I dote on. You can often find me at Nizels Golf Club where I enjoy playing and recently sponsored two duck houses to help provide a safe sanctuary for the ducks who have made a home on the course.
What’s one fun fact not many people know about you?
When I was younger I was camping with friends. One night there was a huge storm and our tent got struck by lightning, passing through all 12 of us inside and the funniest part was that I slept through the whole thing! It was the easiest way I’ve ever found to make the National Press.
