About

Hear from Helen in her own words about her background and approach to being a financial adviser…

What’s the most rewarding part of your role?

Making what can be a very complex area accessible for all, empowering clients with financial education and helping to de-mystify the financial industry.

What is unique about working for Wealth and Finance Matters?

Their approach to their clients and dedication to establishing long-term relationships that are built over time with a focus on cultivating long lasting relationships.

How would you describe the difference financial advice makes to clients?

Empowering them to make better financial decisions and encouraging a shift in mindset to their approach to finances. By providing them with an understanding of the cause and effect, it helps support them in making more considered decisions for their financial future.

What would you say to someone who said financial advice wasn’t right for them?

That it’s always worth having a conversation, after all knowledge is power and it’s about building up the tools you have in your own personal toolkit to improve your financial wellbeing.

What’s your biggest achievement?

My biggest achievement to date is studying for my financial diploma – the early starts and late nights, whilst juggling being a Mum, has been tough but well worth it and I’m incredibly proud of myself and my inner strength for pushing through and becoming qualified.

What are your hobbies?

I am a Mum to four gorgeous children but in between my taxi driver duties, I love to go running. Running provides me with an amazing sense of self, helps top up my reserves and never fails to boost my wellbeing. I have run a number of half marathons to date and am currently aspiring (and training) to complete my first full marathon.

What’s one fun fact not many people know about you?

When I was 5 years old I made it into the local paper after attending an event promoting world peace. As part of the event, we released helium balloons with our names attached, and my balloon made it all the way to Arizona – holding the record for the furthest distance travelled!
